Re-Qualification = One Step Closer

Quick update – I logged on to my toolkit this morning to find this lil’ beauty:

Once again I am back to just needing one last check mark! It was strange though because I never got an “application status update” email, the one we all love, when the medical hold was put on my application. And again today I didn’t get that email for when my medical status was changed back to “complete”. What is the deal? Hmm…

Well I took the my new medical status as an opportunity to email my PO again! Must seize any opportunity to do that lol. I already emailed her my updated resume, since I had it on stand-by because I had nothing better to do whilst waiting. I also sent her my new romantic involvement questionnaire. That thing is a beast! With all these scenarios of things happening about how you would deal with them with your partner. Much more than the first one. But I pushed through and got it done and sent off.

So now? Just waiting again… *sigh* BUT I am so close to an invite I can taste it and it’s kicked my RAS into an overdrive gear I didn’t think existed. Now with Mali and Benin on the PC Wiki timeline, and knowing for sure one person who got an invite to Mali, surely my time is just around the corner. There’s nothing left for me do to except wait…

Till next time… hopefully with an invite! :)

**UPDATE!**
I emailed my PO to let her know about my medical status and she emailed back around 1:00pm to say this:

Hi Ashleigh,

Thank you for bring your OMS status update to our attention. Your file
is currently being reviewed by placement.

Oh. Em. Gee. YAY!!!!!!!!! Maybe my invite is closer than I even know!? *faints* lol… Life is good.

    Hey Ashleigh,

Your blog is so refreshing and positive-minded, I love it! I, too, have a PC blog but it’s kept secret because I am much less able at handling my RAS than you (i.e. lots of swearing and misanthropic–ironic because this is the Peace Corps I’m talking about–thoughts). Keep up the great work!!

    xoxo

    Ashleigh,

I love reading your blog and hearing about all of your PC adventures. I do not know much about the Peace Corps, and I love how informative and real you keep it.

Here’s wishing you good luck on hearing something soon!

I feel like we do enough paperwork just to apply, but once we get the invite…the paperwork continues. No lie! It’s so fun, exciting, and overwhelming simultaneously. I’m excited to hear where you go girl! It’ll be here before you know it…but of course…not soon enough! lol.
